Our first faciliated experiemental filmmaking workshop is now open for bookings!
Tuesday March 24th – Thursday March 26th 2026 Price: £425 for 3 days £382.50 with 10% alumni/earlybird discount before end Jan 1 x supported place for Cornwall artist @ £195 - chosen by need and enthusiasm. All alumni are automatically accepted as this is designed as a follow on workshop. Places are limited so please apply soon if you’re keen. Other filmmakers with some experience of analogue filmmaking can apply, but priority is given to those who have attended previous St Ives Film workshops. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY This opportunity was created in response to feedback, offering follow-on tailored learning with a smaller group of filmmakers. For example, some people may like to spend more time with in-camera experimental techniques whereas others may be all about film development and ways to intervene on the surface of the film/cameraless techniques. The idea is that people can choose their own pathway, working with others who have the same interests - whether trying out more specialised kit, practicing existing skills or working alone or with others to complete work. We will be there to support you! The price is the same as our 4 day immersives, but we will reduce the number of participants and keep the workshop to 3 days to keep the offer affordable. As usual, all filmmaking equipment is included (but please feel free to bring your own, with film); workshop film stock and digitisation is included. This will be followed by the St Ives SPRING Film Event - Friday March 27th and Saturday 28th (we hope you will stay!) If you can’t make it in March, we have another follow-on opportunity planned for July 19-23 (3 or 4 day tbc) We will also be returning to Coombe Florey Tower near Taunton - this will be firmed up in the New Year but hoping for 19-21 May with a one day alumni event in the middle to share work with the Coombe Florey community in their wonderful village hall! .
